You will fill out the main body of the application Online and submit it electronically. Although submitting the Online application makes you an active candidate, several additional items must be submitted separately in order to complete your application (see below) and for you to be considered for open positions. In this competitive job market, we strongly encourage you to provide complete and detailed information and be sure to include anything you wish to have considered.
Applications will not be kept active beyond one year from the submission date, unless renewed and/or updated by the applicant.

FIRST TIME VISITOR – REGISTRATION PROCESS REQUIRED
Please do not register as a "First Time Visitor" if: 1. You have submitted a paper application within the past two (2) years (please log in as a "Previous Applicant or Previous Employee") or 2. You are a previous employee who has separated from employment within the past five (5) years (please log in as a "Previous Applicant or Previous Employee") 3. You are a current substitute for our district (please log in as a "Previous Applicant or Previous Employee") If you do not fall into one of the categories listed above, you will be asked to supply your contact information, including an email address. The online system will then send you a password to that email address. Once that is received you will log onto the system thereafter using the "Registered User" option as seen below. Important Information: This process is only required one time. Please do NOT register twice using different names and/or different email addresses as doing so will cause you to have separate records within the system. If you do not receive your password or have any difficulty with the First Time Visitor Registration process, just call our office at (360)779-8711 or email us at hr@nkschools.org and we would be happy to assist you. REGISTERED USER Once you have either completed the "First Time Visitor" process or you have registered as a "Previous Applicant or Previous Employee", the system has emailed you a password. (Please contact HR if you have not received your password at (360) 779-8711 or hr@nkschools.org ) Please use the original email you registered with, along with your password to log onto the system. Use this option to begin your activity, complete or update your application information and/or apply for open positions. CURRENT DISTRICT EMPLOYEE If you are a CURRENT regular staff member interested in applying for another job within the district, use this option to log onto the system. Substitutes should log in as "Previous Applicant or Previous Employee" on their first visit. If you have separated your employment, use the Previous Applicant/Previous Employee option below. Important Login Info: You will need to use your employee number which can be found on your pay stub (5 digit number found in the upper left corner under the word "serial"), or you may call Human Resources if you need assistance (360) 779-8711. PREVIOUS APPLICANT OR PREVIOUS EMPLOYEE Please use this option to begin the registration process if: 1. You have submitted a paper application within the past two (2) years 2. You are a previous employee who has separated from employment within the past five (5) years 3. You are a current substitute for our district Since your records were previously stored in our system with your social security number, you will be asked to submit it so that the system can look up your old records and include them with the new application you are now submitting. You will then be issued a password.Once you have registered and received your password, you will log on, for future visits, as a "Registered User" (and no longer use your Social Security Number to log into the system). Upon completion of your application, you can click on Summary to review and print a copy of your application.
When you are ready to submit your application, click on Submit Application and click on the "Continue" button. You will then need to complete the Applicant Disclosure and Background Check Statement, and the 3 steps of the Electronic Signature Process, Certification, Authorization and Release before the submission process is complete. You will receive a confirmation email once your application has been imported.

Administrative Application Requirements
Your application will be considered complete after we receive all of the items listed below.
· Certification, Authorization and Release Form (must be signed).
· Position Specific Insert (please email hr@nkschools.org to request).
· Confidential Reference Form We require two completed forms, at least one from a supervisor. (Please send a copy of this form to each of your references and have them return the completed form directly to our office. Please note that we cannot accept the completed forms from you).
Sign and submit the forms to the Human Resources Department along with the information requested in items 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 below.
Applicants are advised that they will be subject to all certification regulations as well as state background checks. When an offer of employment is made, new employees who will or may have unsupervised access to children, developmentally disabled persons, or vulnerable adults must complete a background check for criminal history, including a fingerprint check, by the State and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), as well as a current written disclosure of specified criminal convictions and civil or disciplinary board findings. Any offer of employment is conditional upon the successful outcome of the criminal history background check and approval by the District's Board of Directors.
